Thermodynamic Boiler and Booster

A thermodynamic boiler is a system that heats domestic hot water – the water we use to wash ourselves – much more efficiently than a traditional water heater.
It works a bit like a heat pump: it extracts heat from the air, even cold air, and uses it to heat the water.
It therefore consumes less electricity, since it uses a free source: the ambient air.

But what happens on particularly cold days?
Or if you need hot water very quickly?
In these cases, the booster comes into action:
it’s usually a built-in electric heater, activated only when needed.
It helps the boiler to bring the water up to the ideal temperature more quickly, or to cope with peak consumption.

A heat pump is a system that draws on the energy naturally present in outdoor air to heat or cool your home, and to produce domestic hot water. Unlike traditional heating systems that generate heat by burning fuel or consuming electricity directly, a heat pump simply moves heat from one place to another — making it far more efficient: for every 1 kWh of electricity consumed, it can produce up to 4 or 5 kWh of heat.
